1.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: When you create an account, we may collect your name and email address. You may also sign in using Apple or Google authentication.
- Birth Information: If you use astrology features in Lumia, you may provide your birth date, birth time, and birth location to generate your natal chart and personalized cosmic insights.
- Interest Preferences: Your selected areas of interest (e.g., astrology, tarot, journaling, human design) to personalize your experience.
- Journal Entries: Written reflections, emotion tags, and images you create within the Journal feature. Entries may be set as private (visible only to you) or public (visible to other users in the Discovery feed).
- Tarot Reading History: Records of your daily tarot card draws, optional questions, and saved interpretations.
- Community Interactions: Reactions (upvotes, downvotes), saved posts, and comments you make on public journal entries in the Discovery feed.
- Communications: Messages you send to us through our contact forms, support channels, or email.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
- Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our apps, including features used (such as class watch percentage, dashboard views, and tarot draws), time spent, and actions taken.
- Log Data: IP address, browser type, access times, and referring URLs when you visit our website.
1.3 Information from Third Parties
We may receive information from third-party services if you choose to link or connect them to our apps, such as sign-in via Apple or Google authentication services.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide, maintain, and improve our Services, including Lumia's personalized features
- To generate your natal chart and deliver personalized astrology readings based on your birth data
- To deliver daily cosmic guidance, moon phase insights, and Card of the Day content
- To power the Discovery feed with public journal entries and community wisdom
- To auto-tag journal entries by theme (e.g., Emotion, Astrology, Healing, Relationships)
- To process and respond to your inquiries and support requests
- To send you updates, security alerts, daily reminders, and administrative messages (with your consent)
- To analyze usage trends and improve our apps' functionality
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats
- To comply with legal obligations
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:
- Community Features: If you set a journal entry to "Public," its content, title, emotion tag, and your display name will be visible to other Lumia users in the Discovery feed. Private journal entries are never shared.
- Service Providers: We may share information with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, analytics, and customer support tools. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
- Analytics Partners: We may use analytics tools (such as Firebase Analytics or similar services) to understand how our apps are used. These tools collect anonymized or aggregated data.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our Services. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes. This includes your birth information, journal entries, tarot history, and community interactions.
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit and at rest, regular security assessments, and access controls.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

- Privacy Controls: Set individual journal entries as private or public within Lumia's Journal feature.

7. Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time. You can do this by:
- Using the account deletion feature within the app (Settings > Account > Delete Account)
- Sending an email to hello@meridian-labs.co with the subject line "Account Deletion Request"
Upon receiving your request, we will delete your account and personal data within 30 days. This includes your birth information, natal chart data, journal entries, tarot reading history, and community interactions. Public journal entries that have been shared in the Discovery feed will be anonymized. Some data may be retained in anonymized form for analytics purposes or as required by law.
8. Children's Privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. 9. Third-Party Links and Services
Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or services, including embedded video content from platforms like Vimeo, YouTube, or Zoom for our Learn feature. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from your jurisdiction.
